For any readers of this blog that will be at DreamForce 2014, we will have a number of resin.io related events there, and we’d love to speak to you!
IoT Zone
First off, please drop by the IoT Zone to see the resin.io stand, and many other exciting IoT companies and projects. Reid Carlberg has gathered the who’s who of the Internet of Things there, and we’re ahappy to take part. We’ll have several demos of resin projects there, and can answer any questions you have on where resin.io is headed, technically and commercially.
Hands-on workshops
In addition to the stand, we’ll be running four hands-on workshops, delivered by our very own Shaun Mulligan, where you can go from spare parts to a working resin.io project in the span of 45 minutes. We’ll even give you the completed project to take with you! We originally had two sessions, but Pat Patterson, the salesforce guru in charge of the workshops, let us know that the spaces were filling up and we could have two more slots!
You can find the sessions under the title “Connected Devices Without Limits: Any Language, Any Toolchain, Updates on Demand”, and they will be held at the Internet of Things Lab #2 on the following times:
Monday the 13th, 12:00 PM – 12:45 PM
Monday the 13th, 2:00 PM – 2:45 PM
Tuesday the 14th, 9:00 AM – 9:45 AM
Thursday the 16th, 11:00 AM – 11:45 AM
Resin.io and Heroku
We’ll also have a joint slot with Heroku CTO Morten Bagai, demonstrating how a fairly complex digital signage project can be built as a set of Heroku and resin.io applications, based on web technologies. The session is called “Heroku: Your Window into a Universe of Connected Devices” and it will be on Thursday the 16th, between 10:00 AM – 10:40 AM, at InterContinental Ballroom C.
